COURT CONSTRUCTION (HARD)
NRSM, Inc. sports construction crews have over twenty years of experience in the business. We use the finest, most durable court coating material in the industry, Acrytech UV-15 Colorguard which is used on about 95% of our projects. The other 5% of our projects use materials from two national leading name brands that don't require our high performance Acrytech UV-15 Colorguard.

Our professional sports construction and resurfacing crews focus on projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. We are also associated with other certified court builders in other parts of the country to make sure that a wider region is covered, and not just the areas listed above.

ALL WEATHER COURT CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Full property site preparation and certified foundation compaction should be completed before final grading process is to begin. (Usually Required by Owner to have been completed.

The next step in the process includes the use of laser controlled paving and grading equipment, which will provide the ultimate uniform asphalt or concrete depth, with the exact surface pitch.

Paving process begins with 4 inches of sub-base and 2 inches of premium sports asphalt. Concrete sub base process to meet project specifications.

Once the Paving process is completed, our crews using a laser guided diamond saw, cut the edges to provide a professional finish.

After this is completed the new paved area will need to cure for two weeks before any other works can be done. At this time our crews will pressure wash each court to check if there are any low spots that may have occurred during the paving process.
Usually at this time the Sports Lighting, if required, is installed.

Fence post, fence material, net post and center anchor foundations are next to be installed. Special care is taken to make sure all of our net foundations are deep and strong for years of intense usage.

Fence posts are highly recommended to be centered 6 to 8 inches inward from the edge of paving. The fence material should be raised (fixed) 3/4 to 1/2 inch above the playing surface for our crew to properly squeegee the coating around the base of the fence installation.

Two Coats of our Sports Court Resurfacer is applied for all new courts.

Three to four Coats of our high performance Sports Color Coatings will be applied.

Finally, playing lines are professionally hand painted . Nets and Posts are installed.

KEY ADVANTAGES TO THE ALL- WEATHER TENNIS & SPORTS COURTS

All Weather Courts are low in maintenance and only require
daily care due to inclement weather conditions.

All Weather Courts maybe left open all year long, therefore extending
the playing season during favorable weather conditions.

All Weather Courts can be adjusted (at time of applying the coatings)
to the general speed that the owner wants to achieve. This is done by adding or subtracting the natural sand base.

The Life Expectancy of this type of surface is 15 to 20 years before any major repairs are done.

CUSHION COURT OPTION INFORMATION

When a resilient layer (or layers) of cushion materials are applied over an asphalt or concrete (court), a cushion court is the results. Cushion courts usually have excellent playing characteristics and can be used all year round. These attributes make them popular with players even though these courts are considerably more expensive than regular hard courts; cushioning adds $5,000- $25,000 to the cost of the court, over and above the cost of the asphalt or concrete base.
